Carrot and orange smoothie

A delicious smoothie that not only tastes great, but looks great too - it’s the vibrant orange colour that makes it so unique!


A quick, easy recipe from BBC Good Food, it’s a really simple way to get plenty of nutrients, and one of your 5-a-day.

Ingredients

2 carrots, peeled and grated

2 oranges, peeled

2cm piece of ginger, grated

2 tbsp oats

100g ice

Preparation

  1. Prepare the ingredients, then tip them all into a blender or smoothie maker.

  2. Whizz until it starts to become smooth.

  3. If you find it a little too thick, try adding up to 150ml of water.

  4. Stop blending once it has reached your preferred consistency.



Tips

To store: We recommend drinking this smoothie straight away, but it can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
