A quick, easy recipe from BBC Good Food, it’s a really simple way to get plenty of nutrients, and one of your 5-a-day.

● 2 carrots, peeled and grated
● 2 oranges, peeled
● 2cm piece of ginger, grated
● 2 tbsp oats
● 100g ice
Prepare the ingredients, then tip them all into a blender or smoothie maker.
Whizz until it starts to become smooth.
If you find it a little too thick, try adding up to 150ml of water.
Stop blending once it has reached your preferred consistency.
To store: We recommend drinking this smoothie straight away, but it can be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
