Mandarin Apple Salad Recipe

This salad recipe from Natasha’s Kitchen is so tasty, it’s a dish even the kids will love.

By combining delicious fresh veggies with sweet juicy fruit, it’s incredibly nutritious and full of wonderful flavours too.

There are only a few ingredients, and it barely takes any time to put together.

Nutritional content

Cook time: 20 minutes


  • 1 head of romaine lettuce, washed and chopped

  • 2 apples, chopped

  • 4 seedless mandarins, segmented

  • 1/2 small red onion, chopped

  • 60g walnuts

  • 30g dried cranberries

  • 100g sugar

  • 175ml extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 60ml balsamic vinegar

  • 40g feta, crumbled


  1. Put the lettuce in a salad bowl.

  2. Add the mandarin segments to the bowl, then the chopped apple. Mix everything thoroughly.

  3. Top with the chopped onion, walnuts and cranberries.

  4. Next, make the dressing. Simply combine the sugar, oil, salt and vinegar in a separate bowl, and mix thoroughly.

  5. Add the dressing to the salad, then sprinkle it with feta cheese and serve straight away


Vegan: To make this dish vegan, just serve the salad without feta cheese.
