Mango Lassi recipe

This lassi recipe adapted from BBC Good Food is a great breakfast drink!


Healthy, full of flavour, and incredibly quick to make, it’s just the thing for those busy weekday mornings.

Ingredients

4 ripe mangoes, chopped

500g natural yoghurt

2 cardamom pods, seeds crushed

1 tbsp honey

12 limes, juice only

Preparation

  1. Put the mangoes, yoghurt, honey and ground cardamom in a food processor, then blend until smooth.

  2. Add the lime juice and a pinch of salt, then stir everything well.

  3. If the cardamom doesn’t taste strong enough, feel free to add some more.

  4. Pour into a glass with ice, and enjoy!



Tips

To store: We recommend drinking this lassi straightaway, but it can be kept in the fridge - just put it in an airtight container and drink within 2 days.

Vegan: To make this drink vegan, try replacing natural yoghurt with soya yoghurt, and using a vegan-friendly honey substitute.
