Servings: 4 people

Prep time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and pitted

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (you can adjust this based on the sweetness of your mangoes and personal preference)

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 1/2 cup of water

Preparation

  1. Cut mangoes into chunks

  2. Place in a blender

  3. Add sugar, lime juice, and water

  4. Blend until the mixture is smooth

  5. Taste it to see if it needs more sugar

  6. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish (a metal baking dish works well because it conducts cold efficiently).

  7. Cover with plastic wrap or a lid

  8. Put it in the freezer

  9. After about 2 hours, when the mixture starts to freeze around the edges, take it out and stir it with a fork, breaking up any large ice chunks. Do this every 30 minutes for the next 2-3 hours. This process will help keep the texture of the sorbet smooth and light, not icy.

  10. Once the sorbet is fully frozen, you can serve it immediately e

Enjoy your homemade mango sorbet!
