Zero waste stir fry recipe

Not only is this dish super simple to make, but it’s easily adapted for any veggie trimmings you want to use up.

Made in just 10 minutes with only a handful of ingredients, it’s sure to become one of your go-to dinner recipes.

Servings: 2 people

Prep time: 10 minutes


  • 1 tsp oil

  • 5 pak choi ends, quartered

  • 1 broccoli stem, julienned

  • 4-5 coriander stems, chopped

  • Peel from 1-2 carrots

  • 1 chilli, chopped

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 2 tsp soy sauce


  1. Put the oil in a frying pan over a high heat.

  2. Add the scraps from your pak choi, broccoli, coriander and carrot, then stir well.

  3. Add 2 tablespoons of water and let the veggies steam until the water has all cooked off.

  4. Add the chilli, oyster sauce and soy sauce, stir well and cook for a few more minutes, until the veg has softened.

  5. Serve alone or with noodles.


To store: We recommend eating this stir fry straight away.
